50x Digital aims to build a culture of learning and development among its team members. As part of our emphasis on continuous learning, the marketing team attended PeepCon 3.0 last February 17, 2018 at the Grand Ballroom, Marco Polo Hotel in Ortigas Center.

PeepCon 3.0 is praised as the Philippines’ best SEO conference. It gathers some of the biggest names in the industry to provide equitable learning experiences to the Filipino SEO community. 50x Digital CEO and founder Sam Nam was among the international SEO experts who shared their expertise this year.

The team had an educational yet fun experience at this year’s PeepCon. There were plenty of value-laden presentations and actionable insights to digest.

Learning actionable insights from SEO experts

Nine prominent local and international SEO experts facilitated the key discussions. Among them were Cyrus Shepard, former director of Moz, who  talked about the evolution of SEO and its current state. He thoroughly discussed the challenges that the industry faces and what could be done to address them. Then, Ruth Burr Reedy, director of strategy at UpBuild, presented helpful technical SEO strategies to improve crawlability and indexation. Also, Dana di Tomasso talked about local SEO and its growing importance.

Meanwhile, Rob Ousbey, VP for Operations at Distilled, talked about the importance of content and how marketers can create content that appeals to the target audience without sacrificing the core message. Our very own CEO Sam Nam discussed search engine marketing (Google Adwords) and SEO and the relationship between them.

Also, among local SEO luminaries, Jason Acidre, CEO of Xite Interactive shared useful techniques on how to effectively build links in 2018. Likewise, Jec Gonzales, an SEO consultant, shared strategies on how to determine the target audience for content.

Overall, the conference was a huge success and Team 50x gained plenty of useful industry insights and had the opportunity to expand our network.
